PWPH is a reader-supported research project. The model is intentionally simple: we test hosting, publish the method, and earn a commission if a reader decides to buy through some of our links. Nothing about that exchange should be hidden.

An affiliate link carries a referral identifier. If you click it and later purchase a plan, the hosting company may pay us a percentage of that sale. The commission comes from the vendor’s marketing budget, not from an added fee on your invoice. You pay the same price you would pay by visiting the host directly.

We only use affiliate links for products we have actually researched or tested. A link’s presence is not a recommendation by itself; the recommendation comes from the evidence on the page.

Plain-language disclosure: “If you buy through a link on this page, PWPH may earn a commission. That does not change the price you pay, the test results, or the order of this ranking.”

What is not for sale

  • Rankings and scores. The scoring model and weights are fixed before commercial terms are discussed.
  • Verdicts and comparison winners. A vendor cannot request a tie, a category win, or the removal of a weakness.
  • Draft approval. Hosts do not see reviews before publication. Factual corrections are accepted; editorial changes are not negotiated.
  • Placement in editorial tables. Tables follow the scoring model and the intent of the page.
  • Paid do-follow links. We do not sell link placements, guest-post links, or “sponsored” editorial paragraphs.
  • Positive coverage as a condition of access. If a vendor requires approval or a guaranteed rating, we decline the access.

When a link is commercial, the surrounding page should make that clear through a disclosure note near the recommendation or in the footer. Some commercial links use our own /go/ redirects; they resolve to the host’s public plan page and are labelled with rel="sponsored nofollow". We do not use third-party link-hiding services or redirect chains designed to obscure the destination.

If you prefer not to use affiliate links, search for the host directly. The recommendation and the data remain the same.

Testing comes before revenue

Our process is designed so commercial decisions cannot leak into the test design:

  1. The page intent and selection criteria are defined first.
  2. Hosts are purchased or accessed under standard commercial terms.
  3. Tests run against a fixed baseline and are scored against published weights.
  4. Two editors review the verdict and the supporting tables.
  5. Only then are commercial links added to the published page.

This is not a claim of moral superiority. It is a workflow that makes the wrong behaviour harder to hide.

Vendor relationships

We may accept review access, briefings, or documentation from hosting companies. We do not accept conditions that require coverage, a particular rating, or pre-publication approval. When a relationship could reasonably be perceived as a conflict, we disclose it on the relevant page.

PWPH is not owned by a hosting company, a holding group that operates hosting brands, or a lead-generation network. The lab is editorially independent.

Questions or concerns

If a disclosure is unclear, a link is mislabelled, or you believe a commercial relationship is influencing coverage, email editorial@premiumwphosting.com. We answer disclosure questions directly and publish material corrections.

Scope: This policy applies to premiumwphosting.com and its published research. It does not govern third-party sites we link to. Always review a vendor’s own terms, renewal pricing, and refund policy before purchasing.
